Curriculum Offerings

Students at Goodna State School participate in a core curriculum including Maths, English, Science, Studies of Society and Environment, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Technology and Languages Other Than English (German – Yrs 6&7).

Teachers on all year levels have a major focus on teaching basic literacy and numeracy skills.  In addition teachers develop outcomes based integrated units of work.

Our aim in these units is to develop the lifelong learning skills of participating, thinking, investigating, creating, communicating and reflecting in our students.  There is also a focus to integrate ICT’s into all of these units as well as to develop ICT skills from Year P-7.  All classes have access to 2 computer labs, computer and internet access in each classroom, digital cameras, scanners, printing equipment and numerous software programs.  Upper school students also actively engage in a robotics program.
